I love my phone... iPhone ^^

I love my iPhone.

At first, I thought it's only an iPod + call/sms capabilities. Even when I got it from the hand of the saleperson in Apple Store, Tigard, Oregon, I still think that I'd merely bought an large screen iPod coupled with 'ciplak' phone features. However, I changed my perception towards iPhone after I unlock it!

Other than the thin size body (11.6mm) which allows me to put it into my pants pocket without trace; Other than the extremely responsive touch screen which allows me to enjoy the smooth navigation; Other than the 8GB memory capacity which allows me to put in 4 videos, 250 over mp3's, ~1000 photos and still leave me 4GB free space; other than...

Wonderful themes available in the internet allows me change it everyday. Notice my name at the left upper corner. It's one of my personal favourite teabits. :)

It's a cool features that I can randomly arrange my photos display and drag/enlarge/minimize them to any way I want...

Interactive 'chat-room' style of SMS.

With 3rd party application installed, I can key-in chinese words in SMS/Email/etc using either 拼音(pinyin) or...

Handwritting... (just install this application yesterday, ugly handwritting of mine, keke)

I also can sketch on the photo taken and email to others directly.

Needless to say... it's one of the coolest function that iPhone offers! YouTube everywhere! Now, I can watch HardGay when I'm shitting.

Wonderful net surfing experience on iPhone by using Safari browser. See, I can post entry/ reply comments to my blog easily now.

Multiple webpage surfing capability allows me to read news, blogging, msn at the same time...

Google map in my iPhone... to bad that local telecommunication service doesn't allow me to perform routing, else it'll be very close to GPS system already. Szeepy, don't ask me to draw map to my house anymore, refer to this map and come to my house ya :)

With application installed, I can check all the public webcam everywhere in the world with a click. Able to check on Penang Bridge webcam easily make this application useful to me...

MSN on iPhone. There are 2 ways to MSN in iphone. I can log in MSN through iphone-msn.com or through a third party application named Apollo.

It can syncronize with my company calendar. So that I won't miss any meeting.


Checking personal email. One disadvantage is that it doesn't allow me to access company email.

Cover flow feature when I'm playing music... but not all pirated mp3 has the cover :)

Lyrics searching allows me to read the lyrics concurrently while playing mp3

And, there are many more applications out there to be explored and it's growing with the expanding user community around the world!

Of course there are a lot of disavantages of iPhone.

1. No 3G. I have to downgrade my 3G service to GPRS. No 3G means no video call


2. No MMS! <-- this is unacceptable X(


3. No video recording! WTH ~


4. Most unacceptable: terrible phone calling features. Sometimes I have to re-dial a few times to make a successful call X(


5. Non-user replacable battery. Once it's 'kong' the phone is 'kong'
   
6. Large screen consumes a lot of energy. One full battery charge can only last 1 day if I keep on surfing, playing game...
   

As a summary, iPhone is only powerful if it's within WiFi coverage. Without WiFi, it's only a large screen iPod + 'ciplak' phone features. But, I still love it wor ~ ^^

The aftermaths of K's

K session 1 : The Kap Siao K (a.k.a. sick ppl but still want to kap siao K)
when : 7pm - 11pm 11th April 2008
where : Redbox Gurney Plaza, Penang

Since we have not gone to Redbox for 1 month it's so stressful to work at my company, we've decided to release our tension in Redbox :) And, the most important purpose is to Kap Siao you-know-who! You see, this is our gang, we always find a lot of reasons to justify our outing. I'm ok with all sort of justifications, but these are extremely important to them who have wife at home, haha!

The plan has started smoothly where everyone say 'yes' to the suggestion happily. When it's closer to the day, as expected, Jack Jack told us how 'boh bian' he is and he had to put us aeroplane. Well, this thing always happened in the past, we were not surprised at all. What really surprised us was, CK the Humsloo fell sick on the day of the K (the K is at night, and he was MC in the morning), making him the first sick people of kap siao K! From CK's sms, "I'm a dead man", we decided to sing in grief in the hope that CK can rest in pissed...

Just a few hours later, Sam mou la la approached and requested for Panadol. So he was the 2nd sick people of Kap Siao K. Same thing happened on Chang. About at the same time, he started sneezing, one follow another. So he is the third sick people of Kap Siao K. Because both Sam and Chang were not willingly resting in pissed, they went on the plan with taking 2 pills each.

Like usual, we sang a great variety of songs, from Chinese, Cantonese, English to Malay; from sentimental, R&B to Rock; from 70's, 80's, 90's to new pop songs! The K session was great even though we had two sick cats in the room! As a matter of fact, the sick cats were more energetic than before :) Chang even danced! And I also can't forget the spontaneous 'yum sheng' session where Chang suddenly jumped up to toast with all of us ~ And sure, a lot of kap siao on you-know-who too!

The K session ended at 11pm with 2 sick cats, and the rest of voiceless members. Luckily the rest of us did not fall sick on the next day because we stayed with the sick cats in a small confined room for 4 hours. One last note, CK the Humsloo, you miss it :)

K session 2 : Farewell K

This is a farewell session with another gang of friends. Ms Secretary Kean Wah (aka Janice) is going to leave us for a new job at KL. So Mr President Yew Jin had called an ad-hoc meeting at Redbox.

The K session started with a slow beginning because this was the first time I joined this gang in the Redbox. However, it slowly ramped up after a few of warm up songs. In this session, we sang even greater variety of songs. From Frank Sinatra's, Elvis's, BeeGee's until Mc Hot Dog's, Gavin DeGraw's, Jay's! We even sang Japanese songs which I don't know how to read the song titles. Just know there are some theme songs for a few famous Japanese anime, including Sailor Moon :S

I can't really sing much because I've lost my voice in the Kap Siao K the night before. But with the 'goreng' of Yew Jin, I still joined him in 'I don't want to miss a thing', 'One night in Beijing', 'I don't want to be' etc crazy songs, making me sound more sexy today.

The K session ended at 4am in the morning (not the song name), with all the zombies slowly walked out RedBox. One last note, "Kean Wah, wish you all the best in your new career in a new place! We can always go singing again whenever you come back! (",) "

RiverBird is on the flight ~

Having a chance to fly over US on a business trip, RiverBird was so glad that he can fly there on a flight instead of using his own wings finally visit his US counterparts and expose himself to a different culture and environment. However the first challenge to me is how to survive in the 14.5 hrs non-stop flight from Singapore to LA. Fyi, Riverbird always suffers sea-sick when he was a small kids. The phobia is always there...

This photo was taken on SIA airbus345. I still looked like a human during the first few hours on the flight.

The first meal on flight is always wonderful. I took steak with red wine sauce, it tastes not bad~

After taking my first meal, I started to feel bored. It aint fun at all to sit in a confine area for long hour. So I started my movie marathon. Manage to watch 4 movies in a row before taking 2 hours nap :)

Highly recommended by colleagues. And it is really good. I like the innocence of Giselle in the movie.

Arrgh... lausy plot and lame jokes. I'm glad that I din watch it in the cinema.

I thought it would be a boring movie initially but it turns out to be the movie I like the most among four. Robin Williams plays a big bully in the movie, surprisingly. Story tells a gifted child using his musical talent to search for his long lost parents. Nice music, simple but touching storyline, highly recommended by RiverBird.

Oh ~ chipmunk chipmnk ~ they are so cute :) A funny bite before I went to sleep

It's only a 2-week business trip. I'll be flying again on 23rd. Wonder what can I do on flight since I've watched the movies that I wish to watch. Any recommendation from my friends who are reading this blog?

Wah! The usage of Zidane's Head

Kerachut Beach update

Wuakakaa.. it's almost 2:30am now and I'm still awake, alone in the living room.

Basically there are three reasons y I'm still awake now:
1. it's the match of world cup 2006 final
2. don't have to work tomorrow ^^v (coincidently a subs holiday tomorrow, only at pg)

And most importantly is

3. I still can wake up at 2am sharp!

Well, as u all know, I'm not a big football fans, can't believe that I'm here now to watch the world cup for the first time this year.

Is the game good? Honestly, I dunno... lolz, just know that France mou lah lah got its 1st score in the penalty shoot at the 5th min of the game. But Italy also not bad, got back 1 score by heading in a corner ball.

While I'm still watching the Golden Teamgeist rolls here rolls there, flies east flies west, I've decided to write sth here to post up my new post. You know, my update has been long waited by my loyal 'fans' - kcy and lenz, haha.. gotta post up sth here since they've urged me a lot lately =D

Make me a celebrity ~

Have u ever dreamt on being a celebrity? Honestly, I never ~

But matching my photos with celebrities' faces in MyHeritage is really funny. I know there are a lot of people out there who had tried it long long time ago, but now it seems to be one of the things that I can do to kill my time here...

So, the very 1st photo that I tried on is this.. My Comical Expression ~

Wow ~ guess wat, I become Ang Lee now.. any1 interested to film Bukit KuKuJiaoBreaking?? I plan to direct it next month.

Well, I'm not saying Ang Lee not good, but I was quite unsatisfied that I look like an uncle... so my 2nd attempt was this... very very 自恋 (zi lian) look ~

OMG ~ I look like gals now, out of all celebrities matched, more than half are female!

Keira Knightley? Mayb u guys will c me in Pirates of Carribean 3: The revenge of a Hobbit.

Halle Berry? u guys also can c me acting as Storm in the upcoming X-men III

My 自恋 photo looks more like a gal, which I was still very unsatisfied. my face should be matched with leng zai celebrities. So I decided to try on this ... my nerd look taken during my secondary school time ~

Hoho ~ now it matched me with Andy Lau, Nicholas Tse and Jang Dong-gun.. haha ~ but wait.. it's my old photo ler, doesn't it mean that I once looked leng zai b4 but no longer now, and becoming more and more girlish or uncle-like?!?!?!?!?

No ! It cannot be !!! Let me try on this.. my long hair rock star look! Taken recently...

Wuakaka.. Andy Lau again... it means that I'm consistently looked like Andy Lau, from my secondary school time until now, even with my rock star look ~ Wuakakaa ~

However, Andy Lau is becoming an uncle also, although he never admits he is old... btw, I always think that I look like him...

D1GP at Danga Bay

It has been such a long long time that I din update my blog, due to laziness that no medicine can cure bus'yness that I've gone through all this while. Ever since my last entry, I'd been quite busy for preparing tests, final year project presentation and final exams (yea, they really my final finals in my uni life). Fortunately, I'm still alive now after all these tortures from both physically as well as mentally.

Tonight (or I should say at this early morning?), while I'm waiting for my hair to dry, I decide to post something that have happened during my final exam weeks, as all my coursemates are so eagerly to read my new entry have teased me a lot for my laziness on posting new entry.

Not only lazy on blogging, seems like I become a lot lazier recently, even though in my studies... Perhaps I realize that last sem life should be more relaxing. Therefore, while my housemate Shiang asked me to go watching drifting tournament (D1GP) at Danga Bay during my study week, I went for it without hesitation... kekee... Nah, to some of my coursemates, don't blame me that I din call u guys, as Shiang asked me 5 mins before he left home. So right after I got changing, I just followed two automobil maniacs (Shiang and Wei) and heading towards Danga Bay lar ~

Well, all I can say is I've got no regrets for abandoning my revision to watch it! It's superb, man! Although I really know nth about drifting :p

An honourable guest had been invited to be the judge in the drifting tournament. Guess who? He's Keiichi Tsuchiya San, most renowned drifter in the world, Japan Drift King or "Dorikin" in Japanese! I believe that those who have watched Initial D anime won't find this name unfamiliar. Besides being the judge, Keiichi Tsuchiya San had also demostrated his drifting skill before the tournament started.

Forgot wat car model is it, but with Keiichi Tsuchiya driving inside. Although his car banged on the barricade during the 1st attempt, all audiences still clapped their hands happily and shouted sth like "king is always king, even banging also can be so powerful", "Ah, this is not the car that he uses to drive, he wont make any mistake if he drives his own car."

Leaving me curi ketawa beside, thought that "king is always king, others will find excuses for a king's mistake."

Btw, for his following attempts, he's done perfectly! No mistake at all... Well, u guys must be wondering y I know whether there's good or bad. Honestly, I know nth about drifting, but seeing his car 'biao yat biao' just like watching the InitialD movie, and heard that every1 clapping their hands loudly, then I know it's good d, very easy, right? =D

After taking dinner nearby, the tournament started. To be honest, it was quite boring at the eliminating phase. Just looking at cars drifting one by one in the same circuit... *yawn*

Participants' cars were more or less the same, either AE86, skyline GTR, Cefiro and some of the models that I can't recognize. Btw, it became really exciting when Tsuisou Battle has begun! In Japanese, Tsuisou means chase. So Tsuisou battle is actually a race between 2 cars drifting nose-to-tail against each other. The rear car tries to overtake the front car while the front car prevents it to do so, with condition that both cars must drift at the same time! Marks will not be given if the car is understeered or without drifting at all... Lolz, dont think my explaination is good, too bad that the video clips that I captured that night are bad in quality, else can show u guys here...

So after round and round "kan cheong" Tsuisou battles, there were 2 finalists to compete for the champion. And coincidently, both were also AE86...

Hmm, is AE86 really that suitable for drifting? Well, I dunno, but this is the wining AE86 driven by champion of the night, Tengku Djan Ley, one of Malaysia's top driver.

It was only the 2nd round of D1GP and there are three more rounds to go, any1 interested, can go and have a watch! Believe me, there are many hot chicks it's really exciting and a lot of fun to watch drifting live !!
